Cyr, Seraphin Adelard

CYR, Seraphin Adelard (1899-1981), a native of Montreal, Que., was born on 11 March 1899 and joined the Province of Quebec Assoc. of Architects after 1923. He maintained an office in Montreal until after 1950 and devoted much of his practice to the design of buildings for the Roman Catholic dioceses located in southern Quebec. Cyr died in Montreal on 20 November 1981 (death notice La Presse [Montreal], 21 Nov. 1981, G6; inf. Prov. of Quebec Assoc. of Architects). His son was Marcel Cyr (1926-1987), an architect active in Montreal and St. Hyacinthe.
