Consiglio, Franco

CONSIGLIO, Franco (1902-1970), born 15 May 1902, was active in Montreal for much of his career. He registered with the Province of Quebec Association of Architects in 1929 and obtained several commissions for ecclesiastical projects erected in the new Roman Catholic parishes of the Montreal region. These included a convincing modern Gothic interpretation for St. Malachy's Church (1939), designed in collaboration with Harold Lawson. Consiglio continued to practice until after 1960 and died in Montreal on 5 December 1970 (death notice Gazette [Montreal], 7 Dec. 1970, 41)
