Allan, John Thompson | Biographical Dictionary of Architects in Canada

ALLAN, John Thompson (1899-c. 1952) was active in Peterborough, Ont. where he was in partnership with J.T. Hornsby from 1924 until 1932. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland on 19 October 1899 he attended Gordon College and graduated from the Aberdeen College of Architecture in 1923. After establishing a practise in Peterborough he moved to Lindsay, Ont. where he remained until September 1951 when he resigned from the Ontario Association of Architects (see list of works under Hornsby & Allan).
