Stone, Ernest A.

STONE, Ernest A. (fl. 1912-15) was active in Vancouver, B.C. and was one of four Canadian architects who entered the International Competition for the Australian National Capital in Canberra (1912). Stone was among 137 competitors, but his design was not premiated, and Walter Burley Griffin of Chicago was later declared the winner (inf. from Prof. John W. Reps, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y.).
