Milne, William

MILNE, William (fl. 1874-84), an obscure figure, active in Hamilton, Ont. where he was described as 'the architect' of extensive renovations to the old Mechanics Hall, HAMILTON, ONT. (Spectator [Hamilton], 10 Feb. 1874, 3, descrip.). He is likely the same 'William Milne, Architect' who, nearly a decade later, was credited with the design of the Public School in Barton Township, near Hamilton, for S.S. No. 7 (Spectator [Hamilton], 23 April 1884, 1, t.c.)
