Hooper, Samuel

HOOPER, Samuel (1851-1911), an important architect in Manitoba, and a member of the Hooper family dynasty of architects who dominated western Canada for four decades. This included Samuel Hooper of Winnipeg, his son John S. Hooper (1875-1940) of Winnipeg, and his younger brother Thomas Hooper (1859-1935) of Victoria and Vancouver, B.C.
