NIAGARA FALLS, ONT., La Premier Hotel, a 4 storey hotel located on the Bluff, midway between the old Clifton House (which burned June 1898), and Table Rock, 1898 (Daily Standard [St. Catharines], 29 June 1898, 1, descrip.; Welland Tribune, 1 July 1898, descrip., but erroneously credited to the architect Bruce Pride [sic], of New York City). The design by Price was still being discussed in 1902 (Toronto Daily Star, 21 Nov. 1902, 2, descrip.), but the architect died in 1903, and it is unclear if the hotel was built.
