KINGSTON, ONT., Queen's University buildings, 1878. The Kingston firm of John Power & Son were one of several competitors for this important commission. Their design, signed "Pro Patria Semper" was awarded the Second Prize of $100.00 (Daily British Whig [Kingston], 20 Dec. 1878, 3).
